{ Michigan Summer Vacation - At Grandma and Grandpa's House!

One day while we were up in  Michigan,  we helped Eric's Dad put up hay. I think it was the first time I've driven a truck while picking up hay! It was really fun to help unload the hay off the truck too! Eric's sister Ashley (our nephew Mason's Mom) dug a big hole on top of a sand pile, and her and Eric's Mom put a tarp in it, and filled it with water, and made a plastic slide for the kids off the hill, so they could get wet, and slide down. They had so much fun with that! We also had Jasmine a little birthday party, one day after we got back from South Haven. Eric's Mom made her a birthday cake. It's the first birthday cake any of our children have had that was baked by a Grandma of theirs'. Not usually having family around for birthday parties is a hard thing about living so far from our families. We also did a Garage Saleing Day one Day at Sandy Pines. Eric's Mom rented a golf cart for us, and we rode around shopping. I was blessed to find a lot of nice clothes for Samuel, and some for the girls too!

riding on it!

A lot of watery sandy fun happened that day!

{ Michigan Summer Vacation - Beach pictures

We had so much fun at the Lakes in Michigan. Eric's parents work at a resort that has camps around Sandy Pines Lake, so we are blessed to be able to get in for free! It is close to their house too, so we can go often! We got to go to Lake Michigan twice while we were up there. Once, we went to a park on Lake Michigan, and the waves were very rough that day! The boys and Samuel had fun in it anyway! Another day, we went down to South Haven, and walked out on the pier to the Lighthouse, and then the children and I waded in the water. The boats were coming in from the Lake in the evening, and it was calm, and so nice.  I LOVE being at the Lake! I just love beach towns!

{ Mothers' Day and May 2016 Pictures }

I love May and Mothers' Day! I love all the flowers blooming, and on the campus here where we live, there are lots of pretty flowers. My favorites are the beautiful pink peonies! Every year I am always so excited to see them bloom! Our church had a very nice service where they honored the Mothers and gave us lots of treats, and flowers to plant! My gift from Eric was getting to pick out several flowers to plant in our backyard! That was fun! Our backyard is looking really nice! On May 11, was Jasmine's first birthday, but we didn't actually have a party for her, because of things being pretty busy. I did give her a piece of birthday cake in the Dining Hall, and taking a picture of her. I kept thinking we would have a party for her, but didn't end up doing it, till we were up in  Michigan for our Summer vacation! We will have to do better next year!

 Some nice people from Florida send these t-shirt dresses to the little girls here on our campus. They make nice summer play dresses for the girls!
